As a Technical Program Manager on the Product and Marketing team at Passport, you will be at the center of a number of key strategic initiatives for the company. You’ll partner closely with a variety of stakeholders to drive alignment across the organization for the rollout of those key strategic initiatives and product releases. Said another way, you will act like a command control center for a variety of projects and initiatives.
Guide multiple teams in the strategic execution of key programs that touch a broad variety of roles and functions, both internally and externally
Communicate effectively with all areas of the business involved in the initiative portfolio (this includes listening to challenges/roadblocks, finding solutions, and also providing regular and clear communications around initiative direction, timeline, scope, etc.)
Coordinate with and report out regularly about key milestones, critical path items, status updates etc. to key stakeholders
Develop and maintain project execution schedules, and make adjustments based on business needs
Keep stakeholders focused on the strategic objectives of each program, proactively identify challenges, and figure out how to measure our collective impact at achieving the company’s goals
Highlight areas of risk and recommend mitigation tactics, while also building a library of best practices derived from outcome analysis of our technical programs
Maintain the release calendar for all products, including the alignment of product development activity to marketing, support, development/engineering, and sales functions
Serve as the central point of contact between multiple groups and resolve conflicting interests to move the program forward and maintain momentum
Continually improve the processes we implement to assure success in every launch or release
At least 3 years of professional experience in program management, project management, or other related field
Bachelor’s degree in business or related field
Track record of successfully delivering projects on time
Strong communication skills
Relationship building and the ability to influence without authority
Interest or experience in mobile technology and software development
Experience in driving process improvements and/or change management initiatives
Experience in leading new product development
Track record of successful product launches
Experience in a variety of Agile methodologies
PMP or similar certification
You obsess over the details. You blend technical ability with business acumen. While you are not necessarily a developer, you may have tinkered and are familiar with development methodologies. You are effective at connecting long-term vision to near-term objectives.
You are incredibly organized. Nothing slips through the cracks when you’re running a project. You measure everything. You are inquisitive, and you know how to listen and incorporate new knowledge into your program strategy. You have a knack for connecting the dots across multiple things and ensuring they are in sync. You know how to work collaboratively across teams in order to produce the strongest outputs. Above all else, you are also an excellent communicator, both written and verbal, and you understand how to effectively convey ideas to various stakeholders across the organization.
You will have the opportunity to wear several hats, and you should be comfortable learning new things and taking on new responsibilities. You’ll spearhead strategic initiatives. You won’t hesitate to roll up your sleeves and do the dirty work to turn your concepts into reality. You’ll team up with sales in the field one day, dig through spreadsheets and analytics tools another day, and deep dive with developers the next.
