Mid-Level Software Developer

The Role:

Software Developers at Passport are responsible for leading our application planning and development process across all divisions and product lines. This includes managing the product throughout the product lifecycle, participating in defining the product vision, and working closely with our team to deliver a superior product.

The Responsibilities:

  • Full-stack development using common open-source development technologies including (but not limited to) PHP, JavaScript, GWT, Java, Swift, and various other technologies to create custom solutions for our end-clients

  • Mobile application development in both Android and iOS platforms

  • Designing and maintaining databases in MySQL and Redis

  • Participating in the ideation, technical development, and launch of mobile and web-based products

  • Conducting system balance testing with current and future versions to ensure functionality

  • Maintaining and debugging live software systems

  • Having fun and working with incredibly smart people on a daily basis

What We’re Looking For:

  • 5+ years of experience of front-to-back software development experience in enterprise web and/or mobile environments using Java, JavaScript, PHP, and/or Swift

  • Web/front-end development skills in JavaScript, HTML, and CSS

  • Experience developing mobile applications in Swift or Java is highly preferred, but not required

  • Strong work ethic – we have a lot to get done!

  • Passion for software development combined with the openness to pick up new technologies and languages
